WELCOME TO PUSPICS
By visiting this site, we invite you to get acquainted further with PUSPICS regarding: vision and mission, teaching staff, history of its formation, scope of work, experience in serving the survey and mapping community, as well as the types of services we can provide, both research collaboration and training/courses. Because PUSPICS is an integral part of the Department of Geographic Information Science (SaIG), Faculty of Geography UGM, we also provide information on research abstracts (not all) in the field of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems studies. PUSPICS (originally an abbreviation of the Integrated Survey and Image Interpretation Education Center) is a Remote Sensing Program for Resources with an Integrated Image Interpretation and Survey Approach. PUSPICS serves UGM students in providing data (maps, images), and at the same time becomes a center of academic activity for undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Geography, especially those who take the study programs of S1 Cartography Remote Sensing and Masters Degree in Remote Sensing. These activities include practicum, tutorials, Field Work Lectures, scientific discussions, and supporting thesis/thesis. In addition, PUSPICS also serves the wider community by means of training (courses) and research collaborations. PUSPICS as part of the Department of Geographic Information Science (SaIG) of the Faculty of Geography UGM develops a vision and mission that is in line with the Vision and Mission of the Faculty of Geography, especially for study programs (D3, S1, S2 and S3) that use Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems.

Serving the wider community in the provision of spatial data and increasing understanding of maps, images, remote sensing technology and geographic information systems, in order to help form a society that is more environmentally sensitive but at the same time ‘map literate’.
Provide direct support to the Faculty of Geography UGM in carrying out its educational mission, so that it can produce quality graduates who master the science and technology of remote sensing and geographic information systems.
